Improving Ways of Working
A diagnostic and improvement engagement that finds out what's actually slowing delivery down - then changes how the team or org works, not just what it calls itself.
Who This Is For
Organizations where teams are working hard and still can't deliver predictably - especially ones where a past agile push produced ceremonies but not results.
Signs You Need This
- Retros happen every sprint; the same three complaints show up every sprint too
- "When will this ship?" gets asked and never gets a straight answer, even though everyone's busy
- Nobody trusts the dashboards
- You already paid for a transformation or a coach, and it faded the month they left
Our Approach
Diagnose
I sit in on ceremonies, walk the actual workflow, and read the artifacts to find where work really gets stuck.
Assess & Prioritize
I turn what I find into a short list of root causes, ranked by impact, and check that list with your leadership and your teams before touching anything.
Redesign
Along with the team, I design the operating cadences, roles, responsibilities, and what "done" and "ready" actually mean.
Implement & Coach
I stay hands-on through the first several cycles, adjusting the design against what actually happens rather than what the plan predicted.
What Changes
- You get to name specific root causes
- A redesigned operating model with clear cadences
- Measurable cycle time, predictability, or WIP.
- A retro that visibly changes the ways of working
Questions
We already tried an agile transformation. Why would this be different?
I find out what's actually broken. And I stay through the first cycles instead of handing over a deck.
Will you actually adapt to us, or hand us a standard playbook?
The redesign phase happens with your people in the room. If your situation genuinely doesn't fit a common pattern, the plan won't either. You can check this against the diagnostic: if it reads like it could describe any company, that's a sign something's wrong.
